Anya Kamenetz will share her thoughts on the trends facing higher education, a range of likely responses, and the role of other public knowledge institutions in shaping the future of learning.

About Anya Kamenetz

Anya is a senior writer at Fast Company Magazine, where she writes the column Life in Beta about change, and the author of several books.
  • Generation Debt (Riverhead, 2006), dealt with generational economics and politics
  • DIY U: Edupunks, Edupreneurs, and the Coming Transformation of Higher Education, (Chelsea Green, 2010) is about the future of higher education.
  • Her latest ebook, The Edupunks' Guide, (2011) is the first-ever sponsored by the Gates Foundation
  • Anya was named a 2010 Game Changer in Education by the Huffington Post, received 2009 and 2010 National Awards for Education Reporting from the Education Writers Association, and was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in Feature Writing by the Village Voice in 2005. She speaks around the country and often gives commentary on NPR and other news networks.
